Backup Strategy
Database Backups
Full database dumps nightly, incremental binlog backups every 15 minutes. Encrypted at rest with AES-256, stored on separate infrastructure. Retention: 30 days rolling, 7 years archive.
Configuration Backups
All platform configurations, workflow definitions, and custom code are version-controlled. Automatic commits on every change with full audit trail and rollback capability.
Offsite Replication
Backups replicated to geographically separate storage. Multi-region replication ensures data survives even catastrophic infrastructure failures in a single data center.
Compression & Dedup
Intelligent compression reduces storage costs by up to 70%. Block-level deduplication ensures only changed data is transferred, minimizing bandwidth and storage.
Encryption
All backups encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Encryption keys managed by Cryptex DB virtual HSM — never exposed to storage infrastructure.
Integrity Verification
Automated checksums and periodic restore tests validate backup integrity. No silent corruption — every backup is verified as restorable before it is needed.
